The generations that have come after have legends to follow but these cousins are creating their own legacies.I just finished this story and can't wait for the next. The books are all standalone but you miss out on the delight of the series of you don't read them all.

Reading this series from the very beginning is like watching your own family grow. To see how each son or daughter change & find the path they want to follow. Over coming odds they face, including parents who do not believe in them.I can’t wait for the next book & I certainly hope it’s about Gregor & Conner.

I really like Me Montclair's highland stories but I was hoping this one would be a little bit more intriguing.

Another brilliant book by Montclair! The story line is amazing, the love story is beautiful and you can help but fall in love with these characters all over again. And there are a few knew ones you will love to hate. They will add some wonderful suspense filled mystery. This is a book that you will have hard time putting down. It is another masterpiece. If you haven’t read any of her other books start at the beginning. You will not regret it!

I have read the whole series. I read book 5 yesterday and started book 6. I couldn’t put them down. I’ve finished book 6 now it was great. Now I’m looking for book 7. I didn’t think the kids would have as good of stories as their parents did but I was wrong.

Love reading her works. Started the book and couldn't put it down till finished. Can't wait to get the next book in the series.

Another great book by Mrs. Montclair!! I've loved this series since the beginning with Alex and Maddie and this book did not disappoint! I can't wait to read Gregor and Connor's stories next!

This is a really good book about alcoholism. There are many, many memoirs about drinking. I've read a fair few. This is a particularly good one. Hepola brings a particularly incisive introspection to her tale of drinking too much and getting sober. Hepola managed to be very successful while an alcoholic. She completed her education and became a writer. Blackouts were probably the most frightening thing about Hepola's alcoholism. Her brain was so alcohol-addled that it was unable to remember- the drug was literally circumventing one of the primary functions of the brain. Her accounts of these blackouts- what it was like to come out and to try and figure out what happened, are evocative. It is clear that Hepola is a talented writer. She is able to narrate her experience brilliantly. This is one of the best addiction memoirs I've read.

As a recovering alcoholic with 2.5 yrs sober, living in Austin, with several decades of service in the bar scene here? There were times when I wondered if I had written this in a blackout of my own? Brilliantly and savagely recorded. I loved every word, and gathered renewed strength from her insights and observations. When she was as young as seven years old, she began to sneak drinks out of her parents beer and enjoyed the buzz. She had a couple of unfortunate incidents with alcohol when she was way too young but after one particularly bad experience, she was able to reign it in and fly under the radar. She made it through high school and college while binge drinking, occasionally blacking out and annoying her friends from time to time. I'm her 20's and 30's, Sarah drank her way through Austin, Dallas and NYC while establishing herself as a journalist. As most of her rowdy friends began to settle down, Sarah found herself frequently being invite to lunch during which her friends told her they "needed to talk." Her behavior was getting more noticeably out of control and undesirable as her friends were growing up but she was still drinking like she was in college.Finally, Sarah had enough and found the courage to stop drinking for real. She was expecting her life to immediately fall into place as soon as she stopped drinking but found it was a huge struggle to assimilate herself into a lifestyle which did not include alcohol. She had always assumed her life would become uninteresting when she was no longer the party girl but was happily surprised to find her new life eventually became full and much better.WHAT I LOVEDI am amazed by Sarah Hepola's honesty. It must have been very painful to be that honest with not only herself and millions of strangers, but to maintain that level of honesty knowing her parents, friends and frenemies would be reading all the drunken details of her life was so brave!I love her writing style, she's so darn funny!!! There was not a single part in the book that I skimmed or found tedious. She caught my attention on the first page and never lost it.WHAT I DIDN'T LOVENothing! There was nothing I didn't love about this book. It is so well written, honest and I cannot find anything to critique in this book.

I used this guidebook on my trip through the Dominican Republic in May 2015. Before buying it, I checked out the lonely planet 2014 guide from the library for several weeks and was unimpressed. I found the information in the rough guide more culturally relevant than the lonely planet version. It feels like the authors actually lived In the DR and have a deeper understanding of the culture. The book also saved me in a pinch when I needed last minute information on how to get from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana. I would recommend it for independent travelers who want to get to know Dominican culture.

I'm glad I bought this God and have since found this one the only ones available in the most current one on the Dominican Republic. I do wish I had included a current map. This book will not really be helpful if you were driving in the Dominican republic. I also wish that it had more for information about getting on the country using local transportation or using the ferry to go from Sabana de Le Mar to Samana. You can take a ferry across the samana peninsula for the equivalent of four US dollars and this will save great time rather than driving on what can be roads very different than what American drivers would be used to. I also highly recommend reading up on using local transportation called gua guas which will get you from town to town for the equivalent of one US dollar.I also do not recommend the Bavaro hostel in punta Cana. I do recommend the tropical village chalet in las Galeras and the Dominican treehouse village in Samana.

The book is pretty good, lets me know about all the towns and places for review, but fails to ultimately impress. I'm in Dominican Republic now and frustrated by the organization of information. I almost wish I had bought the lonely planet because I love their book design and layouts. But I went with rough guide so I wouldn't have the same book as everyone else traveling...Overall it does its job and gives good info,but could do a better job.

Still looking for a guidebook that is better that just researching on the internet. I would say this one is a good start if you have never been there before, but not a cover all. Skim through it then research spots you are interested in online to find out about changes.

This guide is written by someone who actually visited the island. How do I know? Because we visited soon after, and the details published in its pages could only be written from first-hand experience. An excellent guide for anyone visiting DR for the first time!

Not as informative as i had hoped (or depended on). Not enough maps. Not enough information to navigate as a solo traveler not booked in an all-inclusive resort.

Not nearly as good as other travel books I've used. The maps were useless & the info not well organized. Very disappointing.

It did not have derail on punta cana where I am going but overall o very good book for traveling.

This book is large and very engaging. It has a puffy cover, bright pictures and my 3 yr old whi is into PJ Masks loves it. There are bonus things to look for and activity suggestions for older kids in the back of the book. Arrived on time and great condition.

I decide to buy a seek and find book after my toddlers were very intrigued by the one in their pediatricians office. This book is a little advanced for the average toddler, in my opinion. I was expecting multiple pages of “find xyz” but this is much more complex and there’s only two pages that are what I expected. I would think this is more of a book for a kindergarten age child than a toddler.

Love the concept and we have serveal of these exact look-n-finds. However i was disappointed in the PJ masks because there are more activity type pages and less look-n-find. Wouldn’t get it again.

This is the most readable textbook I've ever used! I rented it for MBA coursework, but it's so good that I intend to buy it. It introduces the "what" and "why" of corporate finance decisions in a conversational tone, and it explains how financial policies interact with operating policies to result in a company's overall performance. Lately I've been taking this book with me to the gym!

This is one of the worst textbooks I've ever come across. It was recommended to me by my professor, but I would certainly not recommended it to anyone. The language is hard to understand, repetitive, and boring. The topics covered seem to be out of touch with reality. The subjects are dealt with abstractly, and are not easily translated to real-life. I honestly don't think this book will teach or help me manage a real company.The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it "covers" a wide range of topics.

I purchased this book because it was required for a "Finance for Lawyers" course that I enrolled in during my third year of law school. The book can ramble on at times, but devotes enough time to the basics that those without a financial background have the ability to "catch up" in the early portions of the book, before it becomes too daunting or confusing.Whether this book is assigned for class, or you just want some light reading on the plane, this book should do the trick.

Excellent subject matter coverage and readability, keeping in mind this is graduate level material.

It was suggested for students that may have had a hard time with statistics or accounting, as a tool that would make the information easier to understand! I purchased it and NEVER regretted it for one day, I also passed the class with a B when I went into it thinking " If I could just made a C I would be happy".

I loved this product. I loved how the product was put together. The product came to me in time. I would recommend this product to anyone.

But there are plenty of brilliant, professional “indie” authors out there. And Hugh Howey is one of them.Wool: Omnibus Edition is a collection of his first five novellas in the Wool series. The stories are set in a post-apocalyptic future in which the earth’s air has become toxic and the last survivors are forced to live underground in an immense silo with over 130 levels. How the world came to ruin is lost to history. But people know that talking about going outside is punished by being forced to go outside: troublemakers are sentenced to use wool pads to clean the lenses of the silo’s exterior cameras before succumbing to the noxious atmosphere.There’s as much mystery as science fiction in the first few novellas. Aside from the big question—what caused the apocalypse?—Howey builds his world piece by piece in an investigative format that takes the reader along on a hunt for the truth. Why do people condemned to die still fulfill the ritual of cleaning the cameras? What caused the dimly remembered uprisings in the silo? Who’s keeping all these secrets? Are they right to do so? And why isn’t there a freaking elevator? There are murders to solve too, and while the action is slow-paced at first, Howey turns out to be as ruthless with his characters as George R. R. Martin.All this—plus heaps of strong writing—would be enough to make me like Wool on its own. But the Omnibus Edition also features beautiful illustrations, many of which are animated. (Even the cover on Amazon has motion to it.) At first, I found the kinetic bits distracting, but I came to enjoy them as the stories developed.None of this is to say Wool is perfect. I thought the third novella spent too much time rehashing a mystery that had already been solved in the first. And now and then Howey’s descriptions get a touch granular for my tastes. But I’ve never read a flawless “traditionally” published book either, and Wool is better than most.Because good writing is good writing, no matter who puts it out.

I had very high hopes for this book. I bought the trilogy because it was rated as one of the best dystopian sci fi series out there on a couple of sites. But I had a very hard time getting through the first book.- Poor dialogue for many characters... sometimes cringe worthy.- I needed a strong suspension of disbelief. Here are a few examples... - Its a totalitarian state, where the 'mayor' can send someone to their death when desired. However this 'mayor' doesn't know what is happening on many of the 144 floors, doesn't understand how the information technology or 'IT' people collect and use data on all the citizens, doesn't understand how the 'machines' way down in the mechanics area keeps everyone alive with the water and power and all that. Knowledge is power. And this 'mayor' did little more than sign birth certificates. Seemed like some token leader that didn't fit the vibe of the book at all. - The sheriff is the law, and again in my mind just didn't fit. In this type of totalitarian state he would be integrated into IT, monitoring and controlling the thoughts of the inhabitants... with a well armed militia ready to stamp out dissent at a moments notice. Instead we get a guy and his aged deputy who know nothing about 'IT' or much of the rest of this silo... Just seemed incredibly hokey. - They have an apprentice system for career fields, called 'shadows' that spend their youth learning their trade from the elders. Mechanics, porters, doctors... whatever. Then the sheriff needs to be replaced and they say they don't need a shadow. Eh.. just screw it and learn on the fly. Its only the law after all... - They live in what is basically an underground sky scraper. They have foundries and machine shops and can fix whatever problems have arise... and have for many, many years. But they cannot install an elevator? They have one set of stairs going up and down... What happens when they have an earthquake? Or the stairs collapse due to heavy use? Where is the set of stairs for the porters to go up and down to deliver goods? Why not install a service elevator?? They have all these techno widgets and computers... but cannot install something that was invented in the 19th century? What??All these things just kept echoing in my mind as I plodded through the book. I went from reading 30 pages at a time, to 15, to two... and ended up just skimming through the last third. Not very well thought out and nowhere near the quality of something like GRR Martin. I read that it was an indie book. I can see why. I am very surprised that it has done as well as it has.
