Initially bought this book because it was required for a course on pre-trial skills. However, the model templates are worthless and I quickly found that Google searches will yield better (and free) templates. Ended up reading 12 pgs. out of 739 pgs. when I decided that my professor's lectures and searching for best practice templates would serve my education better.

Absolutely terrible book is in horrible condition

I had to learn how to represent myself in court and this book taught me how to organize my work, how to do my legal research as well as how to construct some motions. I found this book very helpful.

I am a Degree Paralegal, Law Student, and a professional litigant. I have recommended this and his other books for everyone who is a layman or Pro Se. The latest edition is not important.

I have been using several of the Look Fabulous Forever products for over two years and have been very pleased with them. I also enjoy Tricia’s blog so it was only natural that I would want to read her book. She shared wonderful ideas about positive ways to enjoy the third act of your life. Her ideas on exercise made me look at it in a different light. Now instead of thinking of it as something dreadful I view it as a way to improve the quality of the life that I have left which could be 20 or more years. I think everyone could benefit for her experience, research and personal wisdom. I would highly recommend this book.

Tricia does a great job empowering mature women to feel good about themselves. She is a true inspiration. I love her make-up tutorials and her products are wonderful.

Lots of good health advice. Also cosmetic guidelines. Enjoyed the book very much. Buy it, you won't be disappointed if you are looking for honest and sometimes funny comments on the state of "things" in the third stage of life.

I assumed this book would be filled with clever tips and tricks for aging gracefully. As her YouTube videos are fabulous. Sadly it was just mediocre read not a lot of new information.

This is my second year following Tricia Cusden, and using her ‘Look Young Forever’ products. I had been unhappy with my makeup. I did all the right things, cleansed, conditioned my skin and I have good genes, but my makeup was not looking the best. Somehow I happened upon Tricia’s YouTube video, and decided to purchase some of her products. They arrived in a very stylish silver bag, and the next day I started using her products. Oh, boy, was I ever surprised. If you could only purchase one product, I would suggest the Silk Face Prime. Your face does indeed feel like silk, and your foundation glides on. I also found her video instructions to be more than helpful. I am a convert to her products, and I only use her products.Tricia’s Book is very helpful. Everything she has related in her videos and more is encapsulated in this book. I would suggest starting at the first page and reading right through, but you can skip to chapters that may fill your needs. This is the first time since my twenties when I feel that I really look good. My face glows, and the colors I have chosen all compliment each other. I have also become more daring in my clothing colors, and the lines of clothing I purchase. I wear foundation almost every time I go out. On rare occasions I will apply the Face Prime and cheek blush, freshen my eyebrows, and go out for a walk or some exercise or to the market. In this book, you will glean ideas on how to present yourself at your most glorious best, and you will feel better about yourself.Growing older is not for sissies, they say, and we can feel our best. The women Tricia presents in the photos are real women looking their best, or just learning to prepare their faces to look their best which results in feeling better. I know what colors look best on me, what shape I am, and how to choose clothing that best suits my shape. I receive Tricia’s email letters and suggestions and new product selections. It is very easy to select your products, the products themselves are very attractive in their containers, and they arrive via mail quickly. Not really a how to paint book, but lots of solid information on individual colors, mixing, texture, color schemes, etc. It also has paintings from the National Museum of American Art in the Smithsonian Institution as examples. Published in 1983, it's not as glossy as some modern books, but I find it valuable. I bought it because I have another oil painting book by Wendon Blake and he even states that he is trying to give practical information to the aspiring painter. Original retail was $23.50.

A must have! The information is packed in the pages in a way that even 'new to oil' painters can assimilate easily. The only drawback is that while the images of the Masters paintings are in color Wendon's is not - that includes the exercise images too. A book that really helps with color issues.

This is an essential book for a beginning oil painter. Mastering color is complicated business. This book takes you by the hand and leads you to discovery.You do have to do the exercises but if you are serious about learning, it is fun and interesting. This book contains so much useful information. It is a great reference.

He makes color part of understanding your art, part of composition and perspective, painterly expression--but explained in the most simple language. He goes into brush strokes, reflected color, properties of paint and in a beautiful way as he shows it through examples of master painters. He shows many paintings and then close-ups in order to see the technique and he tells you what the artist did and how it works.Basically, it is a completely interesting book that will captivate you and you'll lose yourself. It has things you don't find in other books unless you spend a fortune and wade through a tome of useless info to get to a few good points. This book is the real thing and I highly recommend it.

My firstborn son is your classic engineer dork, and he was born that way. He didn't make much eye contact with people when he was a toddler. He could be counted on to completely fail to notice when anyone except me was trying to get his attention. He never really talked to people or played pretend. As a small child he did not require human interaction. He spent hours alone building things. Sometimes if I was really lucky he pointed out to me interesting gears, and he often slammed books about mechanical things into my knees until I read them for the five hundredth time. Never, ever, ever, did he respond to a friendly "hello", notice when a new person entered a room, or otherwise appear to be a member of society.When he was five, his older cousin got a robot for Christmas and drove it into the living room with a remote control. For the first time ever, my nearly non-verbal son 1) noticed someone new was in the room, 2) made eye contact, 3) approached the person respectfully, not too close or too far. Then he said (still making eye contact!) "Hello, Mister Robot. I'm [Name]. How are you today?" and... you would never believe it if you knew him... waited for the robot to respond! My baby DID know how to make conversation! He WAS capable of interaction! I then burst into tears. And, of course, my son didn't notice my emotions.My heart broke for him even as my boy made his bent so clear to me. I vowed to do everything I could to help my son make for himself that robot companion that was clearly his only hope for ever having a friend. Together he and I would create a world of androids to warm every Aspergian's heart.In the five years after that episode, either my son or I have read every single book on robotics accessible to young people in the U.S. No, I don't think I am actually exaggerating. We are aggressive pursuers of books and fanatic followers of our interests. We have read ALL the robot books. They fall into three main categories: silly stories about robots doing things they can't do; technical manuals that you need to have higher maths or a neurological disorder to follow; dry non-fiction with flashy pictures that do a poor job compensating for a lack of depth in the content. Being unable to shell out the $750 for both a Lego robotics kit AND a Lego robotics class, we had pretty much given up on the idea of doing anything for robotics at home, besides studying electronics and math and programming and construction all separately. Both the boy and I were counting the days till I could dump him on the steps of CUNY's mechatronics lab. (One thousand, eight hundred and thirty five if they'll take him for early admission.)Enter Kathy Ceceri's Robotics. Whoa... I am as blown away as I was that Christmas day my son had his first appropriate conversation with anyone. Somebody finally did it! She wrote a book that starts with very simple, basic ideas, explains them, THEN doesn't stop there but explains the next thing you need to understand, and then even doesn't stop there yet but goes on to make clear, using your slowly developed new knowledge, how the complicated, really serious robotics actually works. In detail.This is the best book on robotics for kids ever. It is also a fabulous example of how to do a book on a very technical subject for children (or non-engineer-ish parents).The projects are all genius! I have super high standards for science projects. I do not want to make a chemical reaction inside paper mache and call it earth science; that's chemistry, not a freakin' volcano. My son too, having already made many a silly pretend robot out of recyclables, no longer has any interest in busywork. He will only do projects that help him think about robotics. This book was full of them. Every last project was instructive or thought-provoking.No where does she skim a fact or concept and cover that up by providing a dinky, funny craft or a big glossy photo. She covers them all in such a slow gradient, on a step-by-step, idea-by-idea basis, that I am unafraid to read this book to my younger, non-Aspergian children. My first grader will not be frustrated. He will get it.Every school and every library should have this book. It's the only good one on the topic. But it's good enough for a shelf of books. Really, really, buy this book. You will use it. Your kid will love it. You will look at it on the shelf and swell with satisfaction from the simple knowledge that SOMEONE knows how to write engineering for kids.

This is my first year teaching a Robotics Class. I have borrowed over 30 books from the library, read many books and sifted through TPT packets. This book is my go-to book and has become the most valuable tool for planning my classes. I *highly* recommend it!

This was a gift for my 11 year old grandson and he loves it! Before I knew it he was ripping the insides out of the flashing, beeping, talking toys the other grands love as per instructions in this book! No worries tho, once he began building we all added bits and pieces to add to his stockpile of supplies. Lots of cool facts and if you read the chapter to get the concept of what is going on and why you'll get more out of it. Some parental help advised on some projects.

This is a great book that explains not only the history of robots but explains in kid friendly language the different types of robots and how each works. I love the projects it has for making different robots. I used this book with my class in learning about robotics and student were very engaged in the book and projects. Highly recommended.

Not a robotics club basics . More of a get to know the basics of the basics lol ..good thing but any student over 8 will be almost bored. good for under 7 lol ..

Great book to supplement a nanoscale heat transfer course. The text is laid out in a way that it is very readable and you are able to teach yourself the material.

This book is very useful for my research work. Although the first few chapters are summaries of what one learns in different courses, the "parallel treatment" is a good concept. And the last few chapters are getting deeper.

Very good quality book. Advanced math, graduate level book for sure. Good for multidisciplinary studies in engineering.

Best ever I've read. Very good for research graduate students in areas of materials of engineering and technology. Very helpful!

Great book! It covers a wide range of topics in a naturally interconnected way. I'm studying material science, but the book is written in a way that would benefit EEs, MEs, chemists, physicist.... I'm reading it with Kittel's solid state physics, Sze's Semiconductor device and technology, and griffith's Electrodynamics. They complement each other well!

The bylaws, sometimes called constitution and bylaws, is the governing document of the organization. The bylaws specify how the organization will be managed, who shall be the members and how they shall be chosen. This document describes the purpose of the organization and how various matters shall be handled. The constitution is a separate document, many of the rules will be contained in it, and it takes precedence of the bylaws. However, more and more organizations are choosing to combine these two documents into one, called the bylaws. Usually, there is very little reason to have separate documents. Some organizations call the articles of incorporation the charter, and some call the constitution the charter. Usually, however, the charter is a document distributed by a parent organization to a subordinate unit, such as a local or state chapter, giving authority to exist under the name of the parent organization. It is important to distinguish between the different types of documents because the statutes and other rules will govern their content. If some state statutes define the articles of incorporation as the 'corporate charter', then that is the term that should be used to describe them. The articles of incorporation should contain only as much information as the statutes require. The main organizational rules should be contained in the bylaws. Some organizations with existing bylaws have great difficulty in understanding the original intent of many provisions and find them to be a hindrance to the work of the organization. If amending them proves to be too difficult, many just give up and try to live with them, usually ignoring them. Occasionally, a parliamentarian consulting for an organization will find that bylaws are nonexistent, or have been missing for many years, or no one has a copy to use for guidance. In these cases, I recommend a revision so that a new document can be devised to reflect the current use of rules and customs of the organization. Organizations which require the help of an attorney to write their bylaws include nonprofit organizations with very large purses, those providing personal or social services which could lead to legal difficulties, condominium and homeowner associations which are governed by strict state statutes, and business organizations. However, regardless of what type of organization you have, this book will help you to understand the process better, so that you can work with the attorney more knowledgeably. Amending bylaws is not difficult if one has an explanation of process at hand. If the bylaws are too complicated, ambiguous, or reflect procedures no longer used, a revision might be in order. She is certified by examination of The Academy of Parliamentary Procedure and Law as Parliamentary Specialist and Certified Teacher. Her certifications are the highest which can be achieved by both organizations. She has served as National President of the Academy and as President of the Florida State Association of Parliamentarians. She graduated from Eckerd College (formerlyFlorida Presbyterian College) with a degree in management. She is a colleague of the Community Associations Institute. She is adjunct faculty at Daytona Beach Community College and an instructor for the Florida Institute of Government at the University of South Florida. She is author of books on parliamentary procedure and articles in several publications, editor of The Answer, the journal of the Academy, and editor of The Florida Parliamentarian. She currently serves as parliamentarian for the Florida State Association of Parliamentarians and as national parliamentarian for The Academy of Parliamentary Procedure and law. She has extensive experience in all phases of parliamentary law and procedure having served as a parliamentary consultant for eighteen years. If you are a beginning theological student, you must own and read this book. I teach an Introduction to Theological Research course at an evangelical Seminary in the United States and this book will be assigned to my students beginning in the Fall semester of 2016. Kibbe offers a clear, concise guide to theological research that will help students understand the expectations of theological faculty. Especially helpful is the chapter on identifying and using sources. The excursus on mistakes that students make in using research sources is worth the price of the book. Also note the appendix on navigating the ATLA Religion Database, one of the most essential resources for theological research.

The author recommends going through his book as you work through a research project. I read it straight first, and can only imagine it's increased benefit as a resource alongside an actual project timeline. Excellent advice, well written. I feel like I've been visiting with a trusted mentor, and walked away encouraged and confident to tackle a project. It's a short book, but it is clear and concise in ways that are truly helpful.

This book is on point. This book should be kept close by for those who are writing academic papers. Well done!

PhD program professor library resource request

I thought this was going to be one of those super boring books that you're professor makes you read because he has to but this book was SUPER helpful and entertaining. If you're new to theological writing or just need a brush up this is a great book.
