I’m a political junkie with a pretty good grasp of healthcare policy. Or, so I thought. "From Obamacare to Trumpcare" is an excellent and comprehensive summary of US healthcare policy leading up to the Affordable Care Act. It then delves into the pros and cons of Obamacare before moving on to where President Trump and the Republican Congress are likely to take healthcare. Kudos to the authors for not only writing an immensely readable and timely book on dense subject matter, but for doing so without taking sides. Despite the provocative title, this is an apolitical book that all Americans would benefit from reading.
This extremely well researched and written book is a "must read" for every American concerned with our healthcare system. Authors Nelson and Fuller bring a synergistic collaboration to this complicated issue: Nelson is possibly this country's premier regulatory defense attorney, and Fuller is not only a practicing attorney but an accomplished and experienced "hands-on" hospital CEO. This book's review and explanation of the almost incomprehensible 2,300 page Affordable Care Act ("the good, the bad, and the ugly") is the best available. This book's analysis and prediction of the coming changes under the new Administration and its controlling Congressional partners deserve an "A+" in scholarship. But most refreshing, is how successfully Nelson and Fuller have avoided "picking sides" between Mr. O's legacy and Mr. T's mandate."From ObamaCare to TrumpCare" should become required reading for every member of Congress!
It can be challenging to sort through all of the political and media noise surrounding this subject, but the authors do an exceptional job with providing concise explanations and predictions about our healthcare system. A must read for any insurance or healthcare professional. Chapters 1, 6, and 8 provide a glimpse into what will potentially unfold in the coming months in DC!

Really interesting book that's written in a way that helps one understand the way things may play out under Trumpcare. Although I work in healthcare it was great not to be overwhelmed with details and technical terminology as everything's explained clearly without an assumption of prior knowledge. Definitely recommend it. An easy and enjoyable read.

The best book I've read to understand the current U.S. health care dilemma. I''d recommend it to every Congressman.
I spent the last few weeks watching the republicans not repeal and replace Obama care. Most of the discussion was about getting the votes. When the bill was not put to a vote, I decided I needed to find some sources to read that presented all sides of the issue without name calling or accusing one side or the other of evil intentions. This book turned out to be a great start. I would recommend it to anyone with an interest similar to mine.
