Received them promptly, very cute. The size is just right. They are not oversized like other cards. These cards are like regular playing cards. They come with easy instructions of how to lay them out for readings, which are very simple. After doing a few readings I found them to be very easy as all is written on the card in the corner of each card. As you lay them out you read from right to left per each lay out so it is very easy. I like them, they are fun, and if you think about it quite true. After a did a reading for my friend she was amazed at the facts that it showed after I layed them out and began the reading to her. You might say like a real gypsy. I recommend them highly to all who like to have fun with doing fortune readings. Keep them energized to your liking and the more you use them the better you will be at the readings. Buy them you will love them just like I do.

I had this deck when I was in high school. Which I use to love so much. Unfortunately it got lost somehow. Then I noticed I could buy it on here. And i was in heaven! People please don't really go by all the negative reviews on here. About this amazing little oracle deck. Honestly this is one of my go to decks. Out of so many that I have. This is spot on just like it use to be back then. I've done a few reading for some of my friends which have left them delighted. One of my friends was planning a surprise vacation. with her husband which she had not told anyone. I was able to read it in the cards and she was completely in shock. Guess you can't keep secrets anymore lol!Give it a try I bet if you do. You'll be surprise how much you can learn about yourself and this deck...

I love these cards! Very much like the Lenormand oracle and includes all of the Lenormand cards (except the Cross--you can use the Rapiers #37 instead). Some of the card meanings are different from Lenormand and they are numbered differently, so this is a seperate system unto itself but not difficult to learn. This deck is even more similar to the Maybe Lenormand Deck as this deck is also a full 52 card deck of playing cards and adds in 3 Jokers. Smaller too, so you can throw the deck in your purse and use it for Divination while on the run or just playing Rummy or Solitaire while commuting or killing time. I have been playing with the Gypsy Witch since I received it and I am really getting some distinct and exact impressions and direct answers to my questions. The woodcut designs are slightly older than the Rider Waite Tarot. I read that this deck was anonymously created a few years before the Rider Waite. Some reviewers say that the images are dark. I am not feeling that at all. The instructional flyer gives diagrams for two readings; a small one and a much larger one similar to Le Grand Tableau. Not sure if all of this is set in stone, though. I plan on playing around with my own created spreads and may include the Tarot as an overlay just to experiment. The opportunities are endless with this deck! Buy it!

Great classic deck. I had one as a kid. So happy they still print these. Bought 2 in the end. Makes great gift!!!

I had these back in the 90s. Back then I didn’t appreciate the simple old fashioned art work. I deffinatly do now. They are simple and easy to use. As far as being dark, they have fortunes that are way exaggerated in my opinion. Most that are experienced with these rarely pay attention to the fortunes. I found out doing some reseach that these cards were created in an era where catomancers would use them to take advantage of customers. The gloomy fortunes were over done to shake up the costomer so they would end up coming back for more services from the fortune teller out of fear. This is probably why some say they have an energy that feels gloomy. They have deffinatly retained their original vibe of being created as a kind of fear indusing deck. Although, I feel this vibe can be changed if the reader takes the fortunes with a grian of salt and has fun with it. Remember, they are just cards made of cardstock, NOT God. Lol! Keep in mind that these were created in 1903. Over a hundred years ago. Things were very different in the fortune telling world back then. Not so fluffy and new age I presume. I think its great that these cards have held to their original creation without being redone in any way.

Not for the novice. These are not the same as the ones you see in the stores. They have three parts to each card. You'll see the "tarot" diagram along with the explanation and the traditional playing card that corresponds all on the same card when you turn it over. This is to teach you to read traditional playing cards through association.There is a dark side to these cards as they are a literal translation and not really open to much personal interpretation. I have always preferred reading playing cards to the others due to this but gave it up when my kids were young so they were not influenced by my choices and could follow their own path. They both became curious so I started them with the Rider Deck which they both have luck with so I got these for myself to relearn the cards after nearly 18 years.With these, unlike other decks, you want the recipient of the reading to shuffle them and touch them as they will pull on their energy and when they silently "ask" their question their reading will be based on whats in their heart not in their mind. If you consider yourself a practitioner of the lighter side I don't recommend these as they are based off of the Gypsy style and like I said, they have a dark side that will tell you what you need to know not what you want to know. An example is that the death card doesn't mean a new beginning or an ending, it means severe illness/injury and possibly death. Three references to death in one spread means start making sure you say everything you want to say to everyone you care about because you or someone close to you is going to die.So, I do recommend these for someone who is experienced but not for someone who isn't.

I bought this one and 2 others along the same line. They are real recipe type pages with lines to write, a place for ingredients, directions, and even a bottom notes area for little tips and tricks you want to remember. I don't have kids in the house so I can let my weird humor fly, and my friends love it when they come over. And yes, they really do say what they say, so don't order if you offend easily or shelter your kids.

This recipe journal is soft and looks/feels a lot like a coloring book. I appreciate the table of contents and the space. It's pretty small and simple, but it is great for beginning cooks and kids who want to start their first recipe book. Keep in mind the way it is put together will make it hard to keep open while you are cooking. It doesn't lay flat.

I love this book! It has a TOC, and places to add pictures of the items. Plus the title is perfect. I hope to pass this book down to my grandkids one day ;)

After consulting a general guide book, this book added another layer to our sight-seeing. Lots of interesting places mentioned here, many of which we saw, either accidentally (and recalled reading about them in this book!) or deliberately as part of our daily plan. I appreciated seeing some smaller, more out of the way sights and knowing the stories behind them because of this book. A worthwhile investment.

Pretty great book with lots of information about spots you probably won't know about in New Orleans unless you're a local. Would have been better if it included some sort of a map.

I guess this would be good if you are living there for 3 months or more - my Mom got it for me when were visiting for a week - wasn't great for that.Reads well, some interesting places for sure...

I have bought this series for Chicago and San Francisco and those both gave me interesting new places to visit which added to my experience in the city. I like the books to give me ideas for the off-tourist places.This book gave nothing new that I hadn't already gotten from a travel book (Lonely Planet) and while was published in 2017 had outdated places that no longer exist (Langois, Frenchmen art market for ex) Also, when you look up the places for additional reviews about the "must not miss" many of the reviews are not great. Not even not great- just ho-hum or don't bother.I have gotten much more information from trip advisor, from my book from chatting with folks that have visited NOLA the from this book.total waste of moneyI have never written a review before but this one made me do the first....My advice is-For the folks publishing this book in the other cities- you could at least keep the content currentand include other things not found in every other travel book so that it gives some new information,and not include a few dozen places you can not actually go into or see other than from the exterior. Your book states it is "Places in NO that you must not miss" Well- I think you should not include NOT TO MISS PLACES that you cannot actually see- just to get to 111 places in NOLA that you must not miss. That is ridiculous.I will not buy another one of these in this series.

My NOLA son loves this book. It has some hidden gems.

Great information for both seasoned and novice NOLA visitors (and maybe locals). Create your own walking, driving, or restaurant tour. You may not get some of the local known nuances of all areas and locations, but it's pretty close. I would buy again, or give as a gift to anyone going there.

On my trip to New Orleans, I made it a priority to visit all 111 places in this book. It was a weekend trip, so it was a bit stressful to cram it all in, but totally worth it.

This book covered 5 of the 120 questions on my 955 test. Your better off watching some you tube videos on the special reasoning. I scored high on the electronic/electrical, and average on everything else. I passed for MM and MPE. This book is why to involved and covers probably 20 different test. As you know, they are all different.

Most of the easier tool-related questions in the book weren't on the test when I took it in May 2016. The tougher questions, especially relating to motors and electronics were helpful though, as is some of the spatial stuff. All in all, there was a lot of material I didn't find relevant but this book got me through the test.

Not even sure where to start. 3.5gpa through college for electromechanical. Bought the book to brush up. Lots of money for maybe 2 things you'd see on the exams. Two other friends purchased and totally agree the book did nothing to help prepare aside from waste time!

I am a postal employee for 29 years and I made a 99.9 on the test back then. I had friends that purchased the book and made a perfect 100. I have purchased this book for several of my friends that passed the test and work at the postal service. I am a true believer in the book because it really show u the process of learning to study and pass the postal exam, not to mention all the extras that come with the book for such a reasonable price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK IF U ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PASSING THE POSTAL SERVICE TEST.

An advanced book on Chi-Kung and Chinese internal martial art. The main part (iron-shirt chi-kung postures) has been explained in great details, some of the postures (like Golden Turtle) are regarded as among the most important postures of advanced Wu style Tai Chi, and Iron Bar is an advanced practice in many Chinese MA systems - all explained in good details. The practice of rooting and chi-packing are elements not to be missed, again all explained in good details. "Bonus" materials include exercises to enhance structural alignment and microcosmic circulation are also included, though I think the latter can be practiced more safely with crossed legs postures as in meditation (I mean unless one's sacrum can be aligned medially, a classic requirement of sound tai-chi practice, then one can safely practice microcosmic orbit circulation in standing position).This book is an essential reference for advanced practice, and I recommend every advanced Chinese internal MA practitioners should get a copy. However, it is definitely not a book for beginners. Say for junior practitioners of Tai-Chi (say within one year of guided practice), I would recommend to supplement their practice with Zhen Zhuang (stand-like-a-tree) as taught by Grandmaster Wang of Yi-style (check up books like,The Way of Energy: Mastering the Chinese Art of Internal Strength with Chi Kung Exercise (A Gaia Original)). Easier and safer.

WARNING: May cause "internal injuries" to organs! If you never heard of Iron Shirt until now - STOP- and either A) go to the beginning of Mr. Mantak Chia's works and learn of the Tao or the Chi, B) do not try to "pack the chi" or " the breathe" if you are only in it for attaining a new skill...Drop the "Iron Shirt" if know nothing about the Tao, or what "Chi" really is....Iron Shirt is internal work on the organs,...a "workout" you've never done before in everyday cardio and muscular....so be ware

I found this book useful for me to gain the benefit of someone else's experience but the author's writing style was often difficult to follow. The book reads like a sermon, with many ideas being presented symbolically and then later recalled and represented using different symbolic language. He does an excellent job at creating these powerful metaphors but I found myself many time losing the message somewhere in the metaphor. I had to do a lot of note taking to try and track his arguments and even then found I would lose the thread.Overall, this book was valuable to me for gaining an honest perspective of life in a racial world. As a white American protestant male, I found it beneficial to hear of the author and his wife's individual struggles in coming up against a world (and church establishment) which seeks to define and limit them based on their outward appearance or gender. I haven't had this experience in my life and was introduced to several new lines of thinking in Dr. Bantum's work.As far as practical application, the author himself said that this book is not a "how-to". His purpose was primarily in shining a new light on the issue of race in our culture and then inviting us to begin the risky work of entering one another's lives and seeking each other's flourishing.Overall, I'd recommend reading this work if you are interested in the topic of race and Christianity, but I'd say this is certainly more of a jumping-off point rather than a definitive work.

This book by Bantum is very enlightening for all those who wish to gain insight into being mixed race and African American in the United States today. The author's challenge to re-imagine false, dangerous, and suffocating understandings of race is compelling. Built on the foundation of Christianity, Bantum invites his readers to attend to the mystery of the Incarnation and to our own blessed embodiment in contributing to a "new Christianity in a racialized world." All those who consider themselves followers of Jesus Christ are charged to engage the author's considerations since all of our lives depend on it--especially black and brown sisters and brothers who bear the brunt of race-based exclusion and hatred.

Although I was unable to grasp the significance of Dr. Bantum's persistent reference to "the body" the message of respect for "differences" in human bodies continues to reshape my view of others. I recognize that I do not see others as image-bearers of God. Thanks to Dr. Bantum's hammering home this respect deficit, at 65 years of age I am regularly confronted with my discrimination toward those who are different. Thankful for this awakening. Good to be able to hear him speak on YouTube as well.

This book was partly autobiographical, and partly theological. It was engaging and the author brings a unique and important perspective.

This was a great yet exposing read from a Christian brother sharing his struggle of faithfully trusting God while living in a country that was founded on the words: “One nation under God in divisible with liberty and justice for all” but yet realizing that they were just words.

An incredible book that lays out an accessible theology of the body. It is not a how-to book, but instead offers a new way of seeing and being in this world.

Had to read as a text for a class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It informed my understanding of the body as it relates to the Incarnation and led to many new questions and discussions.
